Intro

This course focuses on gaining skills for dental implant placement using various protocols, with a special emphasis on the use of magnification.

The training is conducted on dental simulators that replicate real-life clinical conditions to the greatest extent possible.

Day 1 9:00 - 18:00

Lecture

Minimally invasive concept in oral surgery: principles and attributes of microsurgery in dentistry.

Overview of instruments and materials for microsurgery.

 

Hands-on

Workplace ergonomics and microscope adjustment.

Anesthesia techniques with direct and indirect vision in the maxilla and mandible.

Hands-on

Practicing incision techniques and suturing under the microscope on rubber models and a biological phantom.

Lecture

Types of suture materials and needles.

Hands-on

Simulator training: incision and suturing techniques in different areas of the maxilla and mandible.

Lecture

Two-stage protocol.

Analysis of implant bed drilling protocol depending on implant type and size. Overview of surgical kit instruments.

Hands-on

Implant bed preparation and placement of endosseous implants of various sizes and types in different areas of the maxilla and mandible.

Practicing implant uncovering techniques and papilla shaping.

Lecture

Case selection: how to choose patients for successful implantation.

One-stage implant placement protocol.

Hands-on

One-stage protocol: transgingival access.

Creating transgingival access with a mucotome. Measuring the depth of the mucotome channel. Drilling protocol and implant placement. Connective tissue graft transplantation. Placement of healing abutment.

Lecture

Simultaneous implant placement with tooth extraction and immediate prosthetics.

Analysis of implant bed drilling protocol in the socket of an extracted anterior tooth. Review of requirements, components, and protocol for fabricating a temporary crown on the implant using analog and digital methods.

Hands-on

Implant bed preparation and placement of an endosseous implant in the socket of an extracted central incisor.

Fabrication of a temporary crown using the analog method.

Cancellation Policy

Up to 1 month (4 weeks) before the course start: you may transfer your course seat to another course or cancel it. In case of cancellation, a €100 administration fee will be charged, and the remainder of your payment will be refunded.

Less than 1 month (4 weeks) before the course start: payments are non-refundable. However, if we manage to fill your spot from the waitlist, a partial refund of 70% of the amount paid may be possible.

Learning process

Participants work with high-tech equipment that closely simulates real clinical conditions: Sirona simulation units, operative microscopes, a full set of materials and instruments – all provided during the course.

The learning process is 100% hands-on, with intensive practical training from morning to evening.

What you need to have for the BIG VENEER COURSE only

Bringing a Mac laptop with Keynote (latest version) is the preferred option.

Alternatively, a Windows laptop with PowerPoint 2010 or newer is also acceptable.

DSLR or mirrorless camera with a macro lens.
Ring flash or dual flash system, if available.
