Key challenges faced by specialists:
- Accurate case selection. It is crucial to differentiate between reversible and irreversible pulpitis, as the treatment strategy depends on this distinction.
- Complete removal of infected dentin. Mistakes in this step can lead to recurrence or pulpitis.
- Pulp preservation. Ensuring reliable protection of the pulp during and after restoration is essential.
Approach to treating deep caries.
For successful treatment, I adhere to the following methodology:
- Use of magnification. Working with high magnification (e.g., using a microscope).
- Mandatory isolation. Proper isolation of the working field is critical.
- Rinsing with 2% CHX. Chlorhexidine helps effectively treat the area near the pulp.
- Use of an electric motor.
- Fluorescent filter.
These measures help avoid pulp exposure even in complex cases.
