A structured clinical and digital workflow for assessing function, determining case complexity, working with vertical dimension of occlusion and selecting the appropriate splint therapy before full-mouth rehabilitation

DIAGNOSE

Understand the patient’s functional condition. Participants combine manual, radiological and digital diagnostics to identify the source of dysfunction
• Manual structural analysis

Translate diagnostic findings into clinical decisions

SPLINT

Select the right splint for the right patient. The course covers different splint concepts, their indications and limitations. Splint selection changes according to diagnosis, case complexity and treatment objective

Priv.-Doz. Dr. Sachin Chhatwani is an orthodontic specialist in private practice in Lüdenscheid, Germany, and Senior Supervising Orthodontist at the Department of Orthodontics, University of Witten/Herdecke. His clinical expertise focuses on functional orthodontics, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), digital treatment planning, and contemporary aligner therapy

He completed the prestigious two-year FACE postgraduate program and is an internationally invited speaker on modern orthodontic concepts. He serves on the editorial boards of Kieferorthopädie (Quintessenz, Berlin) and the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics (Quintessence Publishing, London), and is a board member of the German Working Group for Craniomandibular and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

His scientific interests include three-dimensional imaging, digital technologies, and craniomandibular medicine. He has authored more than 40 scientific publications, is the inventor of several patented orthodontic innovations, received the Research Award for Interdisciplinary Orthodontics from the German Orthodontic Society (DGKFO), and completed his Habilitation in 2025, Germany’s highest postdoctoral academic qualification. He is recognized internationally for bridging clinical practice, research, and digital innovation in orthodontics.

Participants work with high-tech equipment that closely simulates real clinical conditions: Sirona simulation units, operative microscopes, a full set of materials and instruments – all provided during the course

The learning process is 100% hands-on, with intensive practical training from morning to evening

Bringing a Mac laptop with Keynote (latest version) is the preferred option

Alternatively, a Windows laptop with PowerPoint 2010 or newer is also acceptable
