Before, during, and after endo preps

If you do ENDO-restorative cases, then our approach and logistics will probably fit your practice.

Once it’s decided that an indirect restoration will be placed after ENDO, here’s what you do:

  • Initial prep (cusp reduction). This makes access easier for the ENDO procedure.
  • Main prep (during ENDO). Especially useful during irrigation — you let the solution work while prepping.
  • Final prep (after buildup). This approach saves time.

THE TIP:
Since we do preps in such cases under a rubber dam, it’s best to avoid the «helicopter effect». So, use an electric motor and a speed-increasing handpiece. Low speed and fine-grit burs are great friends of the rubberdam.
